UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MATO GROSSO: CONCEPÇÕES SOBRE A PESQUISA E SUA CONTRIBUIÇÃO PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DE MATO GROSSO

Resumo

A pesquisa é uma das principais ações desenvolvidas pelas universidades públicas, associada ao ensino e à extensão. Neste artigo apresentam-se informações sobre as pesquisas conduzidas pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso e seu papel no atendimento às demandas da sociedade, nas mais variadas áreas do conhecimento. Atualmente, elas são executadas por 375 grupos de pesquisa e resultam em mais de 3.500 produções técnico-científicas, como artigos, livros e capítulos de livros, ao longo do ano. Com isso, a UFMT contribui significativamente para o progresso econômico, social e cultural do estado.

Abstract: Research is one of the main actions developed by public universities, associated with teaching and extension. This article presents information about the research conducted by UFMT and its role in meeting the demands of society, in the most varied areas of know ledge. Currently, research is carried out by 375 research groups and results in more than 3,500 technical and scientific productions, such as articles, books and book chapters, throughout the year. With this, UFMT contributes significantly to the economic, social and cultural progress of the state.
